Finspire Consulting LtdFINSPIRE

Half your finance team's week is work a system should be doing.

We find out which half, fix the process, then automate it. Based in Hampshire, working anywhere.

Start with the review How it works

Good people. Broken processes.

Supplier invoices typed in by hand. Bank reconciliations that live in one person's head. A month-end that takes two weeks and a spreadsheet called FINAL_v7. Reports built from scratch every time, or a file rolled over month after month that only gets heavier.

Hiring someone adds a person to the same mess. New software sits on top of it. Bolting AI onto a process nobody has written down just makes the mess faster.

We do it in the right order.

Understand it. Standardise it. Automate the boring middle. Keep a person where a judgement is needed. Then stay until it runs.

  1. 01

    The review

Two days with your team on one process, usually supplier invoices or month-end. You get a short note: where the time goes, what it's costing, and what we'd do about it.

  2. 02

    The diagnostic

Two to three weeks across the whole finance function. Every recurring process mapped as it really happens, not as the manual says. A report, a roadmap, and a price on each fix.

  3. 03

    The delivery

One process at a time. Standardised, automated, run alongside the old way until it's proven, then handed over written down with your team trained.

  4. 04

    Keeping it running

We look after what we built while your team runs it, or we run the finance operation for you. Your call, and you can change it later.

Fixed scope and a fixed fee, agreed in writing before anything starts.

Hiring a bookkeeper?
Do the review first.

A bookkeeper costs you around £35,000 a year, every year. In most teams we've looked at, more than half of that job is keying and matching that a system should be doing. Two days with us tells you what you're actually hiring for before you spend it.

Who it's for.

Owner-managed businesses, ten to a few hundred staff, with a bookkeeper, a finance manager or a part-time FD doing the work of three. Businesses about to make their first finance hire. FDs who've inherited a mess. And anyone with companies in more than one country, where we run the finance office end to end.

We've sat in the seat.

Finspire was started by a treasury professional who runs cash, funding and reporting for a global technology group by day, and built the automation that saves that team over a thousand hours a year. The same approach applies here. Measure it before you change it. Test it before you trust it. Write it down before you hand it over.

We're small by design, so the people who do the work are the people you deal with. And we're discreet by habit.

Tell us where the hours go.

Two days on one process, fixed fee, credited against anything after. Or just ask. We reply within a working day.
